Poetry is an island
Filmmaker and director mrs. Ida Does donated a copy of the documentary on Nobelprize winner Caribbean poet Derek Walcott titled ‘Poetry is an island’ to the library. This documentary presents an intimate portrait of Derek Walcott, set in his beloved native island St. Lucia. Poet, playwright and painter Sir Derek Walcott died on March 17 at home.
The documentary was released in 2013 and there was a special screening of the Aruban Premiere of ‘Poetry is an island’ at Cas di Cultura on April 4, 2014. The film crew consists of Ida Does, Rebecca Roos (co-producer) and Ingmar Maduro (camera). More information on the documentary please visit...
