The light within

With an infectious enthusiasm artist Janine Flanegin makes sense of the world around her through sculpture, painting and photography.
To her, creating comes from a feeling inside, a transcendental experience – it enters you, you process it and you spit it back out.

From the love for her chosen family to the love for her mother, from the trash on the side of the road to the clouds in the sky, from the red sand close to the lighthouse to the white sand on the beach, from the smell of turmeric to the smell of the sea – with her multi-sensory inspiration she always finds a way to put the world around her on a big podium.

Aware of the lessons we can take from our surroundings, step into her surreal landscape and join in the worship.

Janine Vonk-Flanegin works with us on the ‘Primary colors‘  exposition as well as the exposition ‘Biba Natura-Lesa’ as well as an artist and she helps bring the exposition in balance together with our librarian, Gina J. Thank you so much, dear!
